District East Watergraafsmeer
On walking distance from the accommodation you will find the Tropenmuseum and Resistance Museum, as of the Artis Royal Zoo. Frankendael is a great park with and old garden. In the park are some gourmet restaurants. Both parks are within 5 minutes walk from our bed and breakfast accommodation.
The Dam
Dam Square is the bustling center of Amsterdam, amusing street, crowds of tourists, and hundreds of pigeons purebred Amsterdam meet. The Dam is a stone's throw from Amsterdam Central Station and is one of the most famous squares in the lowlands. You look feel free to try the Royal Palace, a large branch of the Beehive, the famous Madame Tussauds, the New Church and the impressive Hotel Krasnapolsky. On the square itself is the National Monument for the victims of World War II. This monument was established in 1956 on Dam Square and is the venue for the annual National Memorial Day on May 4
The Canals
The canal is like a blanket draped to the center of Amsterdam and around. The canal consists of - from the inside out - the Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. The origin of the beautiful canals in the Golden Age, when wealthy Amsterdam prestigious houses were built around the city. The canals themselves were at that time as a sewer. Red Light District
The Red Light District is located east downtown of the Amsterdam city center and forms, to our great disappointment, the international business of our capital for many tourist. In the 'Red Light District are sex and drugs are central window prostitution and coffee shops are the order of the day. Red Light District are limited by the Warmoesstraat(west) St.Jansstraat (south) Long Niezel (north) and the Nieuwmarkt (east). The disputed area, which particularly at night a lot of tourists to find, is a typical and unique piece of Dutch culture. Although the red light district often associated with prostitution and crime, are fun and relaxation are central Amsterdam. Museums

The Vondelpark is Amsterdam's largest and most famous park, where thousands of people every day walking, cycling and recreation. The park is located in the posh Amsterdam-South and adjacent to the prestigious PC Hooftstraat. Sarphatipark is a relatively small park south of Amsterdam's city center. The park is generally quieter than the Vondelpark, close to the lively 'Albert Cuyp market. The parks around here are interesting.
